Privacy Policy – Kilost

Kilost helps people track GLP-1 medication routines and related behaviors. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and your choices. By using our website and iOS app (the “Services”), you agree to this Policy.

1) Data We Collect

You provide directly

  • Account info (iOS only): email, Apple/Google account identifiers.
  • Profile & settings: name/alias, units, preferences, notification settings.
  • Health-related entries (sensitive): medication logs (e.g., GLP-1 doses), symptoms, weight, height, birth year, food logs/photos, notes.
  • Communications: support emails, survey responses, feedback.

Automatically

  • Device & usage: app version, device/OS, performance and event logs, crash diagnostics, general usage analytics.
  • Push tokens: device tokens necessary to send notifications.
  • Subscription metadata: purchase status, plan, renewal dates (from Apple/RevenueCat). We do not receive your full payment card details.

From third parties (service providers)

  • Apple App Store / RevenueCat: subscription status; refunds/cancellations.
  • OneSignal: push delivery/interaction metadata.
  • Supabase: managed database/infra telemetry (no advertising profiles).

2) Why We Use Your Data (Purposes)

  • Provide the Services: account creation, secure storage, charts/analytics, reminders.
  • Operate AI features: e.g., food-logging assistance—subject to Section 6 below.
  • Notifications: medication reminders and service messages (e.g., subscription status).
  • Support & safety: customer support, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, error/crash diagnostics.
  • Legal & compliance: enforce Terms, comply with lawful requests, protect rights and users.
  • Product research (optional): invite you to surveys; you can opt out any time.

3) Sensitive Health Data

You choose whether to add health-related data. We process it only to provide the Services to you (e.g., show trends, estimates, reminders). We do not sell health data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Kilost is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate.

4) How We Share Data

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers (processors) strictly as needed to operate the Services:
    • Supabase (database & auth), Cloudflare (website delivery/security), Expo (build/distribution tooling), OneSignal (push notifications), RevenueCat (subscription management).
  • Legal & safety: to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect users and our rights.
  • Business transfers: if we undergo reorganization or similar, your data may transfer as part of that process (we'll preserve existing commitments or notify you).

We do not allow providers to use your data for their own advertising or to train general-purpose AI models.

5) Cookies & Tracking

We currently do not use cookies on the Site. If we change this, we'll update this Policy. (Some infrastructure providers may employ technical measures strictly necessary to keep the Site secure and performant.)

6) AI Features

  • Accuracy: AI outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete—review them before use.
  • Training: We do not use your personal content to train public or third-party models; we also do not allow human review of your content except as necessary to operate the Services, investigate abuse, or comply with the law.
  • Limits: Don't use AI for medical diagnosis or harmful/illegal content. We may apply usage limits.

7) Data Security

We apply industry-standard measures. Data stored with us lives in Supabase with encryption at rest (AES-256) andin transit (TLS). Row Level Security (RLS) is enabled. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8) Data Location & Transfers

We may process and store data in countries where we and our providers operate. By using the Services, you understand your data may transfer internationally and is protected by the contractual and technical safeguards our providers implement.

9) Retention & Deletion

  • While your account is active, we retain your data so the Services function.
  • Account deletion (in-app): you can delete your account instantly from Settings; deletion is irreversible. Encrypted residual backups, if any, are purged in the ordinary course and aren't used for active processing.
  • We may retain minimal records when the law requires (e.g., fraud prevention, billing records) and keep aggregated or de-identified analytics that don't reasonably identify you.

10) Your Choices & Rights

  • Access/Update: edit your profile and entries in the App.
  • Deletion: delete your account anytime from Settings (instant & irreversible).
  • Notifications: control push permissions in iOS Settings and within the App.
  • Research emails: opt out via any email we send or by writing to support@kilost.com.

If you contact us about your data, we'll try to respond within 30 days when feasible.

11) Minors

The Services are for 18+. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor gave us data, contact us to delete it.

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify you by email 7–30 days before the new Policy takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.

Kilost is a companion and information app only. It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or care.

  • No medical advice: Content, features, and outputs (including estimated GLP-1 medication levels, daily calorie targets, charts, and AI-assisted recommendations) are informational only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always consult a qualified health professional about your specific situation.
  • No emergencies: Kilost is not for emergencies. If you are in an emergency or believe you may be, call your local emergency number immediately.
  • No guarantees: Kilost does not guarantee weight loss, health improvement, or any particular outcome. Results depend on many factors, including your own behavior and medical guidance.
  • Medication decisions: Never change medication, dosage, or schedule based on the App. Follow your clinician's instructions.
  • AI limitations: AI features can be wrong or misleading. Review all outputs and use clinical judgment with your provider.
  • No affiliation: Kilost is not affiliated with or endorsed by any pharmaceutical brand or product, including Ozempic®/Wegovy®/Novo Nordisk. All trademarks belong to their owners.
